Jack Calhoun

Quality Management / Corporate Compliance Officer

Jack Calhoun has been the director of quality management at Taylor Life Center since April 2007. He directs a team of experienced, quality and marketing professionals in monitoring, communicating and facilitating the improvement of Taylor Life Center's services. Jack has more than 29 years of experience in the mental health field as both clinician and administrator. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Olivet Nazarene University, where he studied Psychology and Religion and has done graduate work at Olivet Nazarene University and Michigan State University.

After graduating college he did clinical work with diverse populations, including persons with developmental disabilities, persons with mental illnesses, offenders of domestic violence, and persons with substance use disorders. Jack is drawn to working in the mental health arena because he believes that personal mental health and wholeness is the key to personal happiness and fulfillment.

For the past twenty years, Jack has worked in the area of quality management. He has worked with public and private agencies across the state of Michigan, assisting them to meet their strategic goals, measure service outcomes, and address quality improvement. Jack was instrumental in the early development of quality management practices in the public mental health system across the state of Michigan.

Jack has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 23 years and is the father of two sons, with whom he enjoys biking and traveling. In his downtime, Jack is a historian, focusing his attention on the history of Michigan and the United States presidency.
