RN

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a full time, 40 hours per week, salary exempt position responsible for completing face to face clinical services, such as physical health assessments, interventions, and/or injections of psychiatric medications as needed and on schedule. The RN ensures communication regarding consumer’s psychiatric medical record, physical health needs, coordination of care, medication and/or medication changes, medication education, etc. is completed effectively with minimal supervision. The RN will also link consumers and/or families to necessary resources, providers, hospitals, medication assistance programs and/or agencies, and perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Applicant at minimum must be licensed as a RN in the State of Michigan and have attended an accredited program of nursing for an Associate in Nursing (ASN), Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN), and/or Master’s in Nursing (MSN). This position also requires a valid State of Michigan driver’s license. Valid licenses are required to retain employment in this position.

Physical:  Standing, support weight other than own, walking, stooping, kneeling, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, use of telephone, typing, good hearing, good vision, close work, speaking, physical intervention with clients, ability to travel, ability to transport clients.

Mental:  Reading, writing, simple arithmetic, analyzes date/report information, works under pressure, rapid decision making, creates methodologies for solving client goals, implements recommendations, pleasant, congenial, calm and courteous, firm, maintains confidentiality, directs activities of others to accomplish a goal.

Environmental:  Community settings and client homes, travel to client settings, exposure to general public and aggressive clientele, exposure to clientele with poor health conditions, poor hygiene, ability to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.
